The Cowichan Valley Regional District has prepared a video on the E&N rail corridor, calling it "Vancouver Island's Longest Opportunity"! It is a good overview of the history and current issues regarding the future of the corridor. The total costs quoted for the three options: trail, train, and trail beside train, show the dramatic difference in cost to the taxpayer, and demonstrate why both the federal and provincial governments have stated there are no funds for reviving rail.
