Interview with VP of FORT-VI

Cobble Hill Station

Des interviews the vice-president of FORT-VI, David Slade, at Cobble Hill and Shawnigan Lake. He talks about his conversion from being a train fan to advocating for the conversion of the corridor into an active transportation greenway. They visit places where the tracks have disappeared, and a 1 km section of trail beside the rail that cost almost $1 million to build, destroying the environment in the process. Des uses the phrase "status quo bias" to explain the reluctance of the ICF and train lovers to accept other uses for the corridor.
